The stylist is FINALLY the bride (to be)

Yaay we’re engaged!

I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t wait to get engaged- obviously marrying my partner is going to be amazing BUT I couldn’t wait to start planning the actual wedding.

After securing our venue we had a talk about what we wanted & luckily we were on the same page about everything! That was my cue to start contacting suppliers and getting some quotes.

I then did some stalking on Instagram and Tik Tok and managed to secure all of the suppliers I wanted bar one- MY REGISTRAR, can you believe over a year away from our wedding & they were fully booked for the time slot we wanted? So we decided to check out some other ways to be wed. Take 2 we are now getting married via a Humanist Ceremony which is totally legal in Northern Ireland and fully personalised to the couple. This is totally new for me, but so far it seems like a really nice experience and so much thought is put into the ceremony for you.

Securing your suppliers early is something that you should aim to do, as it is so disheartening when they are already fully booked up for your date! BUT wedding deposits are a killer, I obviously knew they were needed for everyone but booking 7 suppliers in one go was a lot! I’d definitely recommend saving a few pennies before getting in touch with suppliers so when you contact them you are ready to save your date asap.

Just over 2 months after picking our venue, we have now secured all of the suppliers we want & sent out our save the dates *insert sigh of relief* Time to relax, leave the bank account alone for a while & start thinking about what I want my day to look like!

From being a wedding planner I knew what I needed to secure straight away, what to look for in suppliers & how to create an easy wedding planning journey, I’ll be posting my top tips for planning a wedding on my Instagram… check me out! @styledbylulabelles_beds_cambs
